What to write about

  • A correction. Something on a page is wrong, a ratio does not behave as described, or a cited source does not say what we say it says. This is the most useful mail we receive. See Corrections.
  • A source problem. A broken or moved link, or guidance that has since been superseded.
  • A missing ingredient. If you looked something up and we did not have it, that is worth telling us — it is direct evidence about what to write next.
  • Permissions and press. Reuse of anything on the site, or questions about who publishes it.

What we cannot help with

  • Individual recipe troubleshooting. We are a reference, not a helpline, and we have not cooked your recipe.
  • Dietary, allergen, nutritional or medical advice. We are not qualified to give it. If you are cooking for an allergy or a medical condition, check product labels and speak to someone who is.
  • Guest posts, link exchanges and sponsored placements. We do not accept these. Mail about them is not answered.

Who you are writing to

Pinchwell is published by an organisation rather than a named individual, and mail is read by the editorial desk rather than by a person we will name. That is a deliberate choice, explained on the About page. It does not affect corrections: a mistake gets fixed and recorded regardless of who reports it.

We do not publish a postal address or a telephone number, and we do not operate social media accounts. If you see an account using this name, it is not us.
